Request to review an unfavorable decision

 

What are my options if the decision made following my application for diploma and training equivalence is unfavorable?

  1. Candidates who receive a decision from the executive committee that does not grant them equivalence or grants them partial equivalence may request a review of the decision, on condition that they make the request in writing to the secretary within 30 days of the date on which they receive the decision.
  2. The review is conducted within 60 days of the date on which this request is received by a committee formed by the Board of Directors and composed of individuals who are not members of the executive committee or the admissions committee.
  3. Prior to making a decision, the committee must inform review requesters of the date of the meeting at which their request will be reviewed and of their right to share their observations.
  4. Review requesters may attend the meeting to share their observations if they inform the secretary at least 5 days prior to the scheduled date of the meeting. However, they may also send the committee their written observations at any time prior to the scheduled date of the meeting.
  5. The decision of the committee is final and must be sent by registered mail to review requesters within 30 days of the date on which it was rendered.
  6. There is no charge for processing a review request.
