What are my options if the decision made following my application for diploma and training equivalence is unfavorable?
- Candidates who receive a decision from the executive committee that does not grant them equivalence or grants them partial equivalence may request a review of the decision, on condition that they make the request in writing to the secretary within 30 days of the date on which they receive the decision.
- The review is conducted within 60 days of the date on which this request is received by a committee formed by the Board of Directors and composed of individuals who are not members of the executive committee or the admissions committee.
- Prior to making a decision, the committee must inform review requesters of the date of the meeting at which their request will be reviewed and of their right to share their observations.
- Review requesters may attend the meeting to share their observations if they inform the secretary at least 5 days prior to the scheduled date of the meeting. However, they may also send the committee their written observations at any time prior to the scheduled date of the meeting.
- The decision of the committee is final and must be sent by registered mail to review requesters within 30 days of the date on which it was rendered.
- There is no charge for processing a review request.
